Britnie Reid Commissioning Service
Sunday Morning - March 25, 2012

A special Commissioning Service for Britnie Reid, daughter of Rev. & Mrs. Kenneth Reid, was held on Sunday, March 25th. She will be leaving for South Africa on Monday, April 9th to complete her two-year Journeyman appointment through the International Mission Board. Please keep Britnie and her family in your prayers.


The commissioning flag ceremony: In recent years, College Street mission teams and individuals have worked in Peru, Moldova, Zambia, Mexico, Hungary, Romania, Taiwan, Ruanda, Guatemala, Brazil, South Africa, and Kenya. The United States flag represents our mission trips to many states, as well as our local home partners ministry. (Click each thumbnail for larger picture.)


 

 

Peru Mission Trip: March 5 -15: Thank you for your prayers for the recent Peru Mission Trip. The team returned safely on Saturday, March 15. On Tuesday evening, March 11,2008, our own Pastor Ken Reid presented a Bible study (with Spanish translation by Carlos Panaifo) to the youth of the Alliance Church in Ambo, Peru.

Joint Resolution from the Missions Committee and Deacons:
Peru Mission Partnership

The Opportunity: To serve as the IMB strategic coordinator for the Ambo-Pasco Quechua people group. (REAP North – Rapid Entry Advance Plan for Northern Peru).

The Goal: To develop a 3 – 5 year strategy for establishing indigenous, self-sufficient churches in the region between Huriaca and Huanuco, Peru. The goal is to plant healthy, growing, and reproducing churches in the region.

Strategy: To plan intentional volunteer trips throughout the partnership (3 – 5 times per year) to enable the indigenous people in each village or community to plant churches or to build up existing churches of sound doctrine. We take each community and develop a specific plan based on their needs. Each trip will have specific goals. Each team member will be selected based on his or her gifts or talents that compliment the goals of the trip.
